Between Garonne and Dordogne, off the major roads, the hills and the valleys of “Entre- Deux-Mers” make a large rural space preserved by the industrial pollution.
The nearness of the ocean, whose tides come in again the rivers until 60 km inland, provides a moderate and ideal climate for the wine-growing, appeared in the area during the Gallo-Roman period. With its beautiful natural landscapes, it’s also a land with an important history as shown by its abbey, its various Romanic churches from the 12 and 13 centuries and its medieval castles. The “Entre-Deux-Mers is the most extended of the vineyards of Bordeaux and the most important producer of Bordeaux and Bordeaux Superior.
